"Be A Winner"
With all the commercials we're hearing and seeing these days about political candidates, we are constantly being reminded about winning and losing.
I think it comes naturally that we all want to be winners. We all want to be successful. We want to be on top.
But, what makes a winner? How do we become winners? What does God have to say about winners? Is it wrong to want to be a winner?
1st John 5:4-5 says, "Everyone who is a child of God has the power to win against the world. It is our faith that wins the victory against the world. So the one who wins against the world is the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God."*
No matter what happens in political elections, no matter what circumstances surround us, no matter what anyone might say about us, if we are a child of God and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then we are winners. Our names have been recorded among the winners in the Book Of Life.
If you aren't yet a winner, look at John 3:16-17. "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through Him."*
That's a personal offer to you. Accept Jesus Christ into your life and you can be a winner, too.
