"Does Jesus Care?"
Have you ever questioned whether God really cares about us? With all the planets in the universe, why should he care what happens on earth? And, even if He cares for the earth, why should He care about me?
Does Jesus really care about the earth? When He left heaven, He lived here. He didn't live on Mars or Jupiter. He lived on this earth. It was His home.
When I moved away from "home," did I continue to care about that place? Yes. I cared because I still loved the people who lived there. I believe Jesus feels the same about the earth. He loves it because He loves the people who live there.
I believe Jesus cares about you and me. He cared enough to create us. He cared enough to become man like us. He cared enough to face temptation. He cared enough to die for us, so we could have salvation. He cared enough to show His power and rise from the dead. He cared enough to go to heaven and sit at the right hand of God the Father interceding for us. He cared enough that He is coming back. Oh, yes, God cares about us.
If you are still questioning whether God loves us, check out John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (NKJV) There is no greater love than that a man would lay down His life for a friend. That is what Jesus did for us. How great is God's love for us!
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.*
