Recently my dad's oldest sister and her husband celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Although I wasn't able to attend the open house, I received a printed card they gave each one who attended, as well as a picture from years ago. The thoughts of God's faithfulness are worth sharing, so here it is in their own words.
"Sixty years ago when we said our vows, we had no idea what our future held. A world away from family and friends we promised the rest of our lives to one another. Our witnesses were God, one US Ambassador (just to keep it legal), ten American missionaries and many Ethiopian natives. We began a journey that day, but we haven't walked alone. God has remained a constant presence every step of the way. He's been faithful in times of want and plenty. He's been our comfort through loss of loved ones and times of need. He's brought us joy beyond measure and we've been privileged to watch our children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren grow. Today is much more than a celebration of our 60th Wedding Anniversary. It is a testimony to God's unwavering, ever-faithful, unmeasurable love. Thank you for sharing this day with us. Menno & Delila"
