Our Featured Artists of the week, Mercy's Well, always seem to come up with especially interesting recordings. And for the one featured on this program (called "Questions & Answers") they did it again. They went back and found some songs that had influenced them individually during their growing-up years when they were first getting interested in the music. They found some good ones which, as Brad Strider mentioned on the program, haven't been done my too many artists since their original appearance years ago — but which are great songs, nonetheless. As you heard, the Jeff Gibson song "When We Make It To The Other Side," recorded originally by Heaven Bound, is Mercy's Well's first radio song from their new CD. Mercy's Well is comprised of long-time members Brad Strider and Greg Gainer along with their newest member, Jake Wood.
Mercy's Well's CD featured on this program, "Questions & Answers," is available from our mailorder service, Springside. Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order. You can order easily from our webstore by using this link to go directly to this item.
The McMillans — our Artist spotlight guests on this program — just went fulltime on the road about a year ago, although they had been ministering in their home area for about two decades. But already David and Susie McMillan and their daughter, Jessica, are having quite an impact. Songs of theirs that you heard during this segment were from their current CD entitled "Provision," including their current radio single, "Bitter Water Sweet." I especially enjoyed their song about God's faithfulness, "You Can Trust Me." You can contact the McMillans by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday afternoon of the weekend this program aired (September 10th) we had one of our occasional Listener Favorite Call-In opportunities. If you missed it, please visit our website to register in advance to be notified of the next one. When you register you actually get an expanded window of time to call — the entire weekend, rather than just Sunday afternoon. Find out more on this page. If you called, thank you. We'll be using song introductions from this Call-In over the next few months, including an All Listener Favorites edition in October.
