We always enjoy our visits with this week's Featured Artist, Mark Bishop. In fact, Shelia and I have made it a point the past few years to get together with him (over food) on the Singing At Sea Cruise — just to visit (in addition to any interviewing, which is, in fact, where the interview you heard on the air was recorded). Mark's new CD is called "Seasons" for a reason. It goes back and includes several of Mark's best-known songs from the past decade-and-a-half of his solo ministry — and, as he noted on the air — you can pretty well know where he has been and is in his life, and what's on his mind, by the songs he writes. He's very "transparent" in that regard. But, using himself as an example, he reminds us that we all go through various "seasons" in life, with changing priorities, changing goals, changing likes and dislikes, etc. I hope the three older songs from Mark that we played on the program brought back some memories for you, and that the two new songs we included touched you as well. More info about Mark can be found on his website.
Mark Bishop's CD featured on this program, "Mark Bishop Seasons-A Collection of the Best," is available from our mailorder service, Springside. Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order. You can order easily from our webstore by using this link to go directly to this item.
This program marked the fourth and final week of our 2017 Great Annual Giveaway — your last chance to enter and win. Remember, even one qualifying entry is enough to win (even the Grand Prize), but entering once for each of the four weeks increases your chances. I hope you heard the "Key Phrase" on the air that you need to enter for Week #4. If you missed any of the earlier programs, and, as a result, couldn't enter, perhaps you can ask friends who might have listened. Maybe they would be kind enough to give you the "Key Phrase" for those missed earlier weeks. But please do not call your local radio station — they're not allowed to give this out other than during the regular broadcast. Remember, the entry deadline for all four weeks is the same: we must have all entries by noon on March 27, 2017. Click the banner above (or here) for more info.
