From the broadcast the weekend of March 11th & 12th, 2017:

This was the third week of our four-week 2017 Great Annual Giveaway.  I really hope you've been entering each week to improve your changes of winning one of the big prizes.  The Grand Prize, of course, involves the big 2018 Singing At Sea cruise next February.  Shelia and I were on this year's cruise and got a chance to visit with last year's cruise winners.  They loved it, as they told you on last week's program.  More info about the 2018 cruise is now available online. At about this point each year, listeners often tell me they've unfortunately missed one or two of the early programs and want to know how to get the Key Phrase so they can enter.  If you're in that situation, your only recourse would be ask around among your friends to see if anyone heard it and would share it with you.  (It gives you a chance to put in a plug for the program if they're not familiar with it!We may not tell you what they "keys" were, nor may your local radio station, per the rules of the giveaway.  A lot more of the common questions we get — and the answers — can be found on this page.

Click for the AnchormenOur Featured Artists on this broadcast were the Anchormen.  This group started parttime in 1979 and fulltime in 1985, and we've been visiting with them almost that long.  Today's group includes baritone Terry Carter (one of the founding members of this quartet), lead Phillip Hughes (who's also sung with the Kingsmen and the Harvesters), bass Will Lane (who's been with the group off-and-on since 2003) and tenor Chris Jenkins (who previously sang with the Kingsmen).  Songs of theirs on this program were from their CD entitled "Strength Renewed."  The title seems appropriate because the CD has a "renewed energy" about it.  Their recent radio hit, "I Heard About A Man," tells a fascinating story of finding Christ.  And their new radio song, "I'm Gonna Run," displays high-energy excitement about the promise of heaven.

The Anchormen's CD featured on this program, "Strength Renewed," is available from our mailorder service, Springside.  Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order.  You can order easily from our webstore by using this link to go directly to this item.
