From the broadcast the weekend of Feb. 13th & 14th, 2010: This was our annual Valentine's season "Love Theme" edition. All of our songs (other than Featured Artist selections) were about love — God's love for us, our love for God and our Christian love for one another. I was stricken by how many of the songs served as reminders that our response to God's great love should not only to love Him but also to love others. Christ said, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you..." (John 15:9). Now it's our turn to pass along the love to others and to share the news of His love. Our Featured Artists on this program were Jeff & Sheri Easter with songs from their new "Expecting Good Things" CD, including their new radio song, "Born To Climb." Certainly Sheri's life these past two years has been dominated by her bout with breast cancer, and such difficult times are reflected in the songs they chose for this album. Nevertheless, the songs are songs of hope and faith, such as the song "Over The Mountain" that Sheri wrote and described on the broadcast. "Love Remains" is another song that fit well on our "Love Theme" program, inspired by 1st Corinthians 13:13.
