| From the program
aired the weekend of Sept. 5th & 6th, 2009: |
Our Featured Artists on this broadcast were the The Rick Webb
Family, a family quartet Rick and Phyllis Webb,
with daughter Hannah (who's in her late teens) and son Parker
(who's in his early 20s). Until about two years ago when Hannah and Parker
joined their parents to sing, the Webbs were the Rick Webb Trio, which
began in that form in 1997. Before that, both Rick and Phyllis had sung with
many ministries since 1978. And that's why they call their current CD, "25th
Anniversary Family Edition."
I was particularly impressed by the fact that Hannah and Parker
asked to be a part of the singing group. Their parents hadn't asked for
this, but, of course, were delighted. Both Hannah and Parker, as you heard
on the program, feel this is the kind of work God has in store for their
lives. It's neat, too, that traveling as a family, they find they have a
special ministry to other families as they travel. More info about this group
can be found on their website,

Our Artist Spotlight guests on this program were the trio known
as Calvary's Voice, based in Yulee, Florida. Group members include
Greg Chapman (manager, baritone), Daniel Crews (tenor) and
Bryan Hatton (lead singer). The trio organized in October, 2005, with
a desire to witness to the lost, encourage Christians and to be the "Voice
of Calvary." Songs included on this program were from their current CD,
"Further Down The Road." All of these songs seemed especially encouraging
and timely. Calvary's Voice will soon have a new CD out. Their website is
www.calvarysvoice.org and their
e-mail is
calvarysvoice@gmail.com.
On the Headline Update I mentioned Tony and Taranda
Greene, and her recent donation of a kidney to him. You can find updates
regarding their recovery on the Greenes' website,
www.thegreenesgospel.com.
