Our Featured Artist on this program was Ivan Parker with songs from
his "Inseparable" CD. Ivan has been well known to Southern Gospel
music fans since his days with Gold City back in the 80s (or even
before that). Long a favorite on the Gaither Homecoming tour, Ivan's music
is also commonly heard on Christian radio outside of the Southern Gospel
mainstream. He really has taken his music across genre boundaries with a
sound that's pleasing to everyone. His current radio song, "You Can't
Take My Crown," was, as you heard on the broadcast, our "Rapid Riser"
for July, making the biggest upward move among songs on the Top 20 Chart.
